Stella Lee is a fellowship-trained rhinologist and Chief of Rhinology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. She is a clinician scientist developing novel management strategies for the care of patients with inflammatory upper airway disease as well as a leader in the development of therapeutics for airway inflammation. Before joining the Brigham faculty, Dr. Lee served as the Division Chief for Sinonasal Disorders and Allergy in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for ten years where she led several of the pivotal trials in biologic therapies for CRS. Her research interests include defining inflammatory endotypes of chronic rhinosinusitis, the impact of environmental pollution on airway inflammation, and development of basic to translational approaches to solve chronic inflammation. She is a leader in the investigation of targeted therapeutics and creation of new paradigms of how to conceptualize and treat upper airway disorders.
Dr. Lee received her MD from Chicago School of Medicine and her BS from Duke University. She then completed her Otolaryngology residency at Yale University School of Medicine and a fellowship in Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She is the author or co-author of numerous peer reviewed articles as well as books, book chapters and monographs in her field of expertise.
