Jonathan J. Fleming

Mr. Fleming has been creating, financing, and running early-stage life sciences companies in the USA, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East for over 38 years.  He raised more than $1 billion in early-stage investment funds from institutional and corporate LPs, which made more than 200 investments in life science companies which resulted in more than 24 IPOs as well as more than 40 M&A transactions.  Today he runs Pimlico Pond Investments – a family office making investments in venture and real estate opportunities.

Over his career, Mr. Fleming has been the CEO of a neuroscience company, chaired numerous boards of directors, and been a director of numerous public and private companies.  He has worked with six different Nobel Laureates to create and build companies based on their inventions.  He currently is Chairman and/or a director of several private life science companies as well as Vice Chair of the Foundation Board of Cambridge Health Alliance.  Since 2004 Mr. Fleming has been a senior lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management, co-teaching the course: Strategic Decision Making in the Life Sciences. Mr. Fleming holds an MPA from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School and a BA from the University of California, Berkeley.
