Mr. van der Weij is the Managing Partner of Partners in Equity V.  He has spent over 25 years in venture capital and private equity investing in The Netherlands, Europe and the US.  In this capacity he has made in excess of 100 investments and served on numerous boards.  Prior to joining Partners in Equity, Mr. van der Weij was Chief Executive Officer or Managing Partner of several investment firms including Paribas Deelnemingen, Friesland Bank Investments, and Ondernemend Oranje Kapitaal.  Previously he worked in corporate finance and lending for ABM AMRO.

 

Mr. van der Weij is a graduate of Groningen University where he received a Masters in Business Administration.  
He served for six years as the Vice Chairman of the Dutch Venture Capital Association.  Mr. van der Weij started his career as an officer in the Royal Dutch Marines.
