Benjamin S. Bleier, MD is a Professor and the Claire and John Bertucci Chair in Otolaryngology at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.  Dr. Bleier is the Director of Translational Research, Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery, and Co-Director of the Center for Thyroid Eye Disease and Orbital Surgery.  He is an NIH R01 funded surgeon-scientist with 10 patents and author of over 200 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and textbooks. Throughout his career, Dr. Bleier has helped pioneer several new minimally invasive approaches for orbital tumors. He lectures internationally on endoscopic management of orbit and skull base tumors as well as intranasal drug delivery to the brain.

 

Dr Bleier received both his BA and MD from the University of Pennsylvania.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  His work has been featured in the Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, Harvard Medicine Magazine, and Scientist Magazine.
